Warm-Up: Players are allowed a maximum of two minutes for a hit-up before the start of each match.

In the event of a tie for podium positions, the ordering will be determined by the ratio of wins to losses.

Match Format: Matches will be played in the best of five sets.

Player Details: By participating, players consent to have their full name, Ratings Central ID, and Ratings Central score displayed in the player list.

Results will be logged on the Whatsapp group and the website, which will be provided.

Handicap Competition Announcement

The Handicap Event is an opportunity to test your skills by playing against different players and have fun.

Here’s how it works:

Players will be randomly assigned into groups, so you might face a stronger player, a weaker player, or someone with a similar level.

Matches will follow a handicap system based on Ratings Central rankings. For example:

If your rank is around 1000 and your opponent’s rank is around 800, they will start the match with a 2-0 lead. For every 100-point difference in Ratings Central rankings, 1 point will be added to the starting score.

If you play someone ranked 1300, you’ll start the match at 3-0.

If you play someone around 1000 then the match starts at 0-0.

Depending on the number of participants, we may move to a knockout round after the group stage. For example:

The top two players from each group advance.

In the knockout round, the first-place finisher in Group A plays the second-place finisher in Group B, and vice versa.

Winners of these matches will then face off in the final!

This event is all about having fun, trying something new, and enjoying table tennis with friends. No results will be recorded on Ratings Central—it’s just for fun!

We can’t wait to see you there!
