1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and/or participating in any Forestville Table Tennis (FTT) competition, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Failure to adhere may result in disqualification or other sanctions as determined by the organizers.
2. Registration
2.1 Eligibility
All participants must complete the registration process and pay the required fees before the event deadline.
Registration is open to players of all skill levels unless otherwise specified.
2.2 Deadlines and Fees
Registration must be completed by the date specified on the event announcement.
Late registrations may incur additional fees or be declined.
2.3 Refund Policy
Refunds will only be provided for cancellations made more than 72 hours before the competition start time. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 72 hours of the event.
3. Code of Conduct
3.1 Sportsmanship
All players must demonstrate respect and sportsmanship toward opponents, referees, and organizers.
Abusive language, unsportsmanlike behaviour, or intentional damage to equipment will result in penalties, including potential disqualification.
3.2 Compliance with Rules
Unless otherwise specified, players must adhere to the rules and regulations of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
3.3 Smoking and Vaping
Smoking and vaping of e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited inside the venue.
If you wish to smoke, you must do so outside, maintaining a reasonable distance from the entrance.
3.4 Prohibited Items
No glass is to be brought onto the premises.
4. Competition Format
4.1 Divisions
Players will be assigned to divisions based on their Ratings Central score or other criteria as determined by FTT.
4.2 Scheduling
The competition schedule will be finalized and published at least 24 hours before the event. Players are responsible for checking their match times.
4.3 Equipment
Players are responsible for bringing their bats and equipment unless specified otherwise.
5. Liability
5.1 Personal Responsibility
Forestville Table Tennis is not responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the competition. Participants compete at their own risk.
5.2 Property Damage
Any damage to venue property or equipment caused by a participant will be their financial responsibility.
5.3 Reporting Incidents
All incidents, including fluid spillage on the floor, MUST be reported to the FTT Venue Management.
5.4 Valuables and Vehicles
FTT assumes no liability for loss or damage to any vehicles and/or their contents however caused.
FTT takes no responsibility for the safekeeping of valuables, goods, or vehicles brought onto the premises.
5.5 Right to Refuse Entry
FTT Venue Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any member/user/visitor for breaching entry terms and conditions.
6. Media Release
By participating, you consent to being photographed or recorded during the event. FTT reserves the right to use these materials for promotional purposes.
7. Membership Recommendation
It is strongly recommended that all players and users register as a members of Table Tennis New South Wales (TTNSW) for individual liabilities that can also possibly be covered in relation to table tennis activities. Please visit the website for more details: https://www.ttnsw.org.au/registration/.
8. Disputes
Any disputes arising during the competition must be submitted to the tournament director in writing. The tournament director’s decision will be final.
9. Changes to Terms
FTT reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be communicated to registered participants.
